Caspase-3 (Apopain) Substrate is a colorimetric substrate for caspase-3 with the sequence Ac-DEVD-pNA. Caspase-3 is a protease that is rapidly activated during apoptosis and that cleaves several substrates, including poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). Cleavage of Ac-DEVD-pNA is monitored by measuring absorbance at 405 nm. Ac-DEVD-pNA is poorly cleaved by caspase-2.Km = 18 μM (Casp-1), 11 μM (Casp-3), 32 μM (Casp-4), 180 μM (Casp-6), 12 μM (Casp-7)
