3a,7a,12a-tri-((O-b-D-glucopyranosyl)ethyloxy)-cholane
Fa?ade detergents have a low micelle aggregation number, micelle mass, and hydrodynamic radius. Compared to conventional long-chain detergents, Facade-TEG facilitates the removal of free ligand partitioned into the micelle. This phenomenon resulted in lower background radioactivity for the structural analysis of type II cannabinoid receptor (CB2). Commonly used detergents such as DDM or CHAPS are not readily compatible with GEF assays to assess thermostability, but Fa?ade-TEG forms small micelles and is better suited to study interactions of CB2 with G protein.
